Purpose:
To ensure competitive balance, fairness, and compliance with league rules regarding roster usage and floater players.
Before the first scheduled game, each town must submit official rosters for every team and division that include:
Player name
Grade
Jersey number
Primary team/division
Coach name
These rosters become the official league record for the season.
Players may only compete for the team and division listed.
Mid-season roster additions or changes require league approval.
Floaters must come from an approved league roster.
Floaters are permitted only when necessary and under the following conditions:
Teams may not use floaters if they have six (6) or more rostered players present.
Floaters should rotate when possible and not be the same player repeatedly.
A player may not float across multiple divisions.
A seasonal limit may be imposed on floater appearances unless approved by league directors.
Any team using a floater must complete a Floater Declaration Form prior to tip-off that includes:
Date and location
Division and teams
Number of players present
Floater name and home team
Reason for floater use
No form = floater is not permitted to play.
Forms must be submitted to the site supervisor or host-town representative.
After each game, the host town must submit a photo or scan of the official scorebook to the league that shows:
Teams and division
Final score
Jersey numbers that played
These records will be used to verify roster compliance and floater usage.
The league will maintain a central log of:
Floater appearances
Teams requesting floaters
Frequency by player
Compliance patterns
Repeated or questionable use will trigger league review.
Violations include:
Using a floater without filing a declaration form
Using a floater when six or more players were present
Using a non-rostered or ineligible player
Failure to submit scorebooks
Progressive discipline:
Written warning
Game forfeiture
Coach suspension and/or team probation
Removal from the league
League officials have final authority on eligibility determinations and disciplinary action.
